Yes, i have been investing into a new art style and i have came up with this "Sketchy" one, i actually liked it so i drew Rebecca (In DiD, curious perverts!) to compare it with the old one (The new style is on the left) Here's the question, what do you think? if this gets good comments i'll carry on using the style, or improve on it if i need to.
Well, it's a first step towards shading, isn't it? I say it looks better than the other one, because shading gives the picture depth. Keep on improving and everyone will be happy.
Yeah, but actually, i did do shading on the right of the picture, but sadly i used gradients, so it's pretty faint. And yes, i'll be improving this style.

Oh, i remember the old style *Shudder* Mspaint, cheap 3D rendering and the generic pencil coloring. Looking back at them makes me feel pretty embarrassed, but meh, i only just started and it could have been worse.

Now that you say it, I see the gradients. But I really think you'll keep on using the other style. Oh, and word of advice (if you want it): you should try lines that are much less thick. I think it's easier that way.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Matt Farrell: [To Lucy McClane] Wow, I know that tone. It's just weird hearing it come from someone... with hair.
